- We can't control what happens to us. Only how we respond. It helps to remain indifferent to what we can’t control.
- It’s good to be good. Good actions over good intentions.
- We are the sum of our thoughts. Emotions that cause distress should be avoided, not dwelled on. Especially so if they are about the past or future.
- We only have this moment. The past is a memory and the future is imaginary.
- Remember death. What you have could be gone in a moment. Live accordingly.
- We only have one thing we truly own. Our mind. Everything else is borrowed and will return to the earth. That includes your body, your car, and your house.
